“Tú eres mi refugio: me proteges del peligro, me rodeas con cánticos de liberación, Selah” Salmo 32:7 

Este es un salmo escrito por el rey David, un gran líder de alabanza, y habla sobre confesar los pecados, buscar a Dios y encontrarlo. En medio de una confesión apasionada proclama: "Tú eres mi refugio: me proteges del peligro, me rodeas con cánticos de liberación."

Al arrancar este año, en Europa nos encontramos en un momento interesante. Puede parecer difícil agarrarnos a nuestra esperanza segura, Jesús crucificado, cuando nos vemos presionados por los que nos rodean o incluso por leyes que no nos permiten expresar nuestra fe y el gozo que tenemos de la manera que quisiéramos. Esto puede dificultar bastante una vida cristiana. PERO aunque nos enfrentemos a presiones externas y a dudas y temores que tengamos en nuestros propios corazones, podemos saber que a través de Jesús nuestras vidas están seguras y a salvo en la mano de Dios. Él es nuestro escondite, nuestra fuerza y ayuda en tiempos de dificultad, nos capacita para salir en medio de nuestra sociedad y compartir su amor con aquellos que nos rodean. Él es Señor y Rey sobre cada rincón del mundo y cada situación en la que nos podamos encontrar, da igual lo difíciles que puedan parecer.

Podemos hacer todo en Cristo que nos fortalece. Al comenzar este nuevo año, andemos con confianza en Cristo, sabiendo que Él está con nosotros siempre, a través de su Espíritu, hasta el final de los tiempos, que Él vaya por delante y junto a nosotros en todo lo que nos traiga el 2010. Él ha ido a preparar un lugar eterno en casa de su Padre para ti. ¡Aleluya!

En tu tiempo de oración, entrégale a Dios las cosas que te esperan este año, recuerda que en cada circunstancia Él te protege en momentos difíciles, y canta canciones de liberación para ti y se regocija en ti (Sof 3:17). Regocíjate en lo que Dios ha hecho, está haciendo por ti y a través de ti y entona una nueva canción de alabanza, ya sea a grito pelado o en tu propio corazón. ¡Qué nazcan nuevas canciones de adoración!

Psalm 32: 7 You are my hiding place; you will protect me from trouble and surround me with songs of deliverance. Selah

God is our strength and refuge always, especially in 2010, but at the same time as He is our Hiding Place, He equips us to go out in to the world and share His love with those around us.

This is a Psalm of David, the great Biblical worship leader, which talks a little bit about His confessing His sins to God, and seeking Him, while He may be found. In amongst a quite serious confession, David declares “You are my hiding place; you will protect me from trouble and surround me with songs of deliverance.” In Europe at the start of this year, we find ourselves in an interesting time. It can be difficult to hold fast to our sure hope and foundation, Christ and Him crucified, in the face of pressure from those around us, or perhaps laws which stop us from expressing our faith and the joy that we have in the way that we might want to. This can make the Christian life pretty tough. BUT, even as we face pressures from outside of ourselves, and doubts and fears inside our own hearts, we can know that, through Jesus, our lives are hidden safely in the palm of God’s hand. He is our strength and our refuge and our help in time of trouble, and He is Lord, and King, over every corner of the Earth, and every situation that we find ourselves in, no matter how difficult it may seem. We can do all things through Christ who strengthens us. As we start this new year, walk forward boldly with Christ, knowing that He is with you always, by His Spirit, even until the end of the age, that He goes before you and beside you in to what 2010 has to offer, and that He has gone to prepare an eternal place for you in His Father’s house. Hallelujah!

Spend some time in quiet prayer and contemplation, bringing to God the things that are coming up for you this year.For each thing you think of, imagine yourself bringing those things to God, and give them to Him. Remind yourself in each case that He protects you in times of trouble, and, as He sings songs of deliverance over you, and rejoices over you with singing (Zeph 3:17), rejoice over what the Lord has done and is doing for you and through you, and lift up a new song of praise to Him, either out loud or in your own heart. May many new songs of praise be birthed!
